Dharmendra dies at 89: Bollywood Says goodbye to its all-time superstar.
On 24 November 2025, the film star Dharmendra, the favorite super star of the Bollywood, died at the age of 89 in his Mumbai residence. This caused a heartbreak to the film fraternity as well as millions of fans. His death is only twelve days following his release after he admitted in Breach Candy Hospital late in October as a result of difficulty in breathing. The legendary actor was just a few weeks short of his 90 th birthday on December 8.
A 60-year Masterpiece of Cinema.
Dharmendra Ji started in Hindi films in the year 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere. During his youth, he was appreciate due to his groundwork performance in Anpadh, Bandini, Anupama and Aaya Sawan Jhoom Ke. His career was a roaring success and he shifted to one of the most successful in the leading men of Indian cinema. He played memorable roles in cult movies such as Sholay, Dharam Veer, Chupke Chupke, Mera Gaon Mera Desh and Dream Girl.
The natural acting style, his charisma and the aura of a hero made him one of the most popular stars of the Bollywood of all generations.

Dharmendra Ji was admit to the hospital after feeling breathless but released on 12 November in order to resume his rest at home. Unfortunately, his health got worse and he passed away on 24 November and that is the end of a great era in Hindi movies.

Colleagues in the industry and his admirers have been inundating him with emotional tributes, not mentioning him as a megastar but as a human being who was rare in his warmth, kindness and positivity.
Their thoughts turned to his loving personality, kind spirit and the respect that he accorded to all people in his environment. One of the many touching eulogies said everything about him to the world:

Dharmendra Ji Last and Upcoming Films
Dharmendra has not been seen since Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which starred Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
His next and posthumous movie, Ikkis, cast in which Agastya Nanda plays, will be released on 25 December.
A Legacy That Will Live Forever.
The exit of Dharmendra leaves behind an empty space that was so significant in Indian cinema. Maybe the Indian cinema will never be able to fill. But his body of legendary works, memorable characters. And the love which he gave to millions of people will guarantee his heritage to be timeless.
