Mahabharat Celebrity Pankaj Dheer, Adored as Karna, dies at 68 after cancer fight.
Pankaj Dheer, the veteran television and film actor. Who is most famously recognized as a legendary television series in B.R. Chopra, Karna, died at 68 after a lengthy battle against cancer. The actor passed away on Wednesday morning. Ashoke Pandit had been confirmed & informed that over the last several months, Dheer had been in and out of the hospital. His burning will be done later in the day.
Pankaj Dheer was born in Punjab and started his stay in the entertainment world in the 1980s. He performed minor parts in films before gaining his huge popularity with Mahabharat in 1988. His great acting as Karna made him national and firmly established him as one of the most respected television actors in India. Following the success of Mahabharat, Dheer followed it with another successful performance as King Shivdatta. The commercially successful fantasy drama Chandrakanta (1994-1996). Chandrakanta was adapted based on a novel of the same title by Devaki Nandan Khatri.
He was one of the greatest antagonists in the history of TV with his presence on the screen and his royal image of Shivdutt. Dheer has successfully diversified into films over the years. Appearing in some of the most popular films, including Sadak, Sanam Bewafa, Aashik Awara, Soldier, Baadshah, Andaz, Zameen and Tarzan: The Wonder Car. He also entered other popular television serials such as Teen Bahuraaniyaan, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat and Sasural Simar Ka. That featured his multi-generational versatility.

Mukesh was fond of Dheer who was elegant, low-pitched and food crazy, and he continued to refer to him as MK.
He was never out of fashion and had an exuberant energy with him at the set. A Legacy Remembered The death of Pankaj Dheer is yet another death in Mahabharat family after the death of co-stars such as Gufi Paintal (Shakuni) and Praveen Kumar (Bheem).
