Rashmika was born to Suman and Madan Mandanna in Virajpet, Kodagu district, Karnataka, into a Kodava Hindu family. Her father runs a coffee estate and a function hall, while her mother is a homemaker. Growing up, Rashmika helped raise her younger sister, Shiman, often acting as a maternal figure.
She attended Coorg Public School and later pursued a bachelor’s degree in psychology, journalism, and English literature at M. S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bangalore.
